1) Fish RAS Technician

Job description:

  • Responsible for RAS operations of the aquaculture farm, maintaining a healthy environment for fish
  • Proceed and comply the protocol of RAS water treatment processes; biofiltration, solid removal, oxygenation, pH control, temperature control and biosecurity
  • Reduce water requirements, wastewater in effluent volume, and land needs due to the high stocking density
  • Increase biosecurity and ease in treating disease outbreaks
  • Closely monitor and control environmental conditions to maximize production efficiency

Requirements:

  • Have degree in Aquaculture or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in RAS operation for fish farm and specialized in Pompano and Grouper
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of RAS
  • Safe and proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Able to station in aquaculture farm based in Singapore

 

2) Marine Fish Hatchery Technician

Job description:

  • Responsible for daily operations and overall management of the marine fish hatchery
  • Assist in the rearing and distribution of marine fish fry
  • Duties on-site: feeding fish, cleaning rearing units, various finfish husbandry practices and do the maintenance of aquaculture equipment
  • Present the monthly production, analysis, inventory control and biosecurity
  • Identify staff training requirements and advise on recommended training and implementation

Main requirements:

  • Degree in Aquaculture or related flied
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in producing marine fish fry
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Marine fish hatchery processes required for developing and monitoring hatchery production
  • Basic fish culture techniques; rearing procedures; water dynamics (e.g. flows, flow patterns, availability, temperature, etc.)
  • Safe and proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Able to station in aquaculture farm based in Singapore
