The graph of annual export volume shows impressive growth of the industry in recent years.  These data show that the SPF Shrimp Broodstock Industry is one of Hawaii’s leading agricultural exports and a major success story for Hawaii and USA aquaculture.  Some industry experts estimate up to 50% of global farmed shrimp production is derived from Hawaii broodstock.
